Back in April 2001 three ex Starbucks drones set about to change the world of coffee shops from the inside and opened their own place just off Blythswood square in Glasgow city centre. Where the monkey sleeps was and remains a refreshing departure from high street coffee shops and sandwich bars serving great coffee and a dazzling variety of bespoke sandwiches.

A few years later we were approached to tender for the catering contract at the Glasgow School of Art, we already had a large number of students and staff alike as regular customers and two of the owners are ex GSA graduates so we had a good idea of what to offer.

Things have gone from strength to strength up at the art school and we continue to spread joy all over the campus, our catering business has grown through word of mouth reaching all corners of the city.

Next stop...the RSAMD just down the hill. Yes this year we are growing once again and are taking on the catering at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
